5 Tips to Improve Your Texting

Texting is the new-day age version of communication. Texting has attracted all ages and personalities to a simple and easy way to talk to anyone from their family, business partners, and buddies. It is perfect to send a small, nice message to someone and receive instant feedback. However there have been some small but serious rules that must be followed to be accepted as a member of the texting community.

Texting was designed to be made for quick messages and quick answers. However texting has been twisted by todays community as a means of holding a conversation. Whilst in the midst of these conversations here are the top five rules that need to be obeyed to be viewed as what is known today as a "good' texter. Learn how to be a good texter by...

  • 1. Sending informative messages. Nobody asks a question to you for you to reply with a simple "yes" or "no". It is required to try to send at least twenty plus words to the individual to insure they know that you still care about the conversation. ( Unless you don't). They are known as conversation killers. If you don't want to be in conversation with someone than it is real easy to send this subliminal message by sending an extremely short message such as "k" or "yeah".
  • 2. Be a quick responder. Nobody texts you wanting you to wait forever to respond. They want a response as soon as possible. Some exclusions to this rule are when the respondent is being active either with another obligation or in the company of others which brings us to our next rule.
  • 3. Only text when it should be your top priority. This rule is directly related to those situations when there are obviously better things to accomplish with your time. Nobody likes talking to someone who is texting. It is blatant disrespect to the person showing them you'd rather show your attention to someone whose miles away than to their current presence. Another popular example includes texting while driving. The day that sending that text message to your buddy becomes more important than crucial road decisions that could lead to your death I will quit driving.
  • 4.Do not text too much in relationships. Obviously in a relationship your going to want to talk to your special partner all the time you can. However, what people do not understand is that this is harmful to the dating couple. When you text too much you find yourself talking through all the conversation you would have usually had in person. Nevertheless, when the two see each other in person there is no conversation to have that wouldn't have already been previously discussed forcing many awkward moments leading to a bad relationship and ultimately a brake-up.
  • 5. Don't do the dreaded double text. In the conversational fatal move that a member of the conversation did not respond to your text message it is sending a signal that they are not appreciating your texting presence and wish the conversation to end. In this situation it is crucial that you must NOT text this person again hoping that they respond a second time. Because they won't, and now you have deemed yourself annoying and begging for their texting goodness. Bottom line is not to be desperate.

I hope these keys can be used to spark up your texting lives!
