Halo Reach Credit Farming - A Credit Farming Guide

Updated on January 30, 2018

Halo Reach Credits

This article is an article about the many different ways of farming halo reach credits or cr to spend at the armory or for many other reason. If you do not already understand this idea of the credit system used by Halo Reach please go look at my other hub- The Halo Reach Credit System

Now after I wrote that hub I realized the drastic need to find the best way to attain the most credits possible. Knowing that there are several different types of players out there I have drawn out a few different ways to farm halo reach credits depending on the type of player you are. I have written separate articles that may appeal differently to different players trying to accomplish different things.

As I mentioned in my other hub, the importance of farming credits, there are several different reason you might want to have as many halo reach credits as possible! One of the biggest being the idea that Bungie will release certain armor types or even certain items, games, maps, or anything of the sort for a limited amount of time that can only be purchased by credits. Another could be you are a goal oriented person and want to purchase out the entire armory of items to suit your player.

Scroll through the below articles and see if you can find the one that fits you best!

The Armory

Spending Credits at the Armory

The main reason you are here to farm credits is because you are interested in buying out your favorite items at the armory. The armory is a unique and bold addition to the Halo trilogy that allows you to customize your character.

Farming Halo Reach Credits the Right Way

Now this is going to be for those players who are not comfortable with earning mass amounts of credits by shooting there friend in the back of the head multiple times in a row for generating medals and credits. This is the way of farming that comes by with true skill and playing the game the right way. However, it might be the weakest of the three.

In my recent Halo Reach experiment I recorded the different amounts of credits I earned playing different game types and with different scores. I have come to one conclusion. You must finish the game and you must win. That's it. I played everything from Big Team Slayer to Arena Doubles and found that the best way to generate credits are by getting the Game Complete credits and the Performance credits ( only given to the winning team). So grab a friend or two who are of higher skill and go grind through matchmaking while having fun and still generating high credit amounts.

I would not advise Firefight due to the annoyance of dying from the ships and the small amount of credits you earn/time. I will say though that if someone could perfect a firefight map and get some friends who could grind through it really fast repetitively, that there might be a shot. Also avoid Campaign, unless you finish the entire thing, to where you will gain a huge bonus of credits.

Farming Halo Reach Credits the Fun Way

Not to say that the other ways are not FUN. Just saying that personally I have had more fun farming credits this way. Make a forged map, arena type, where there is only a circle and few spawns. Grab some friends, good or bad, and just have an all out brawl in the arena. Set a crazy kill count like 100 or something so the game last a good bit. Not only will you gain some considerable skill from this, but the medals and kills that rack up are insane.

For an extra boost in credits, get all of your friends to quit out of the game so that when it ends you get all of the slot machine credits.

Farming Halo Reach Credits the Fast Way

As mentioned before this is sort of a cheaper way to do things. However this is the fastest and most time productive. Fun? Probably not.

Forge a map that creates all of the spawning players to spawn in a line. Set the game type to unlimited ammo with Snipers. When the game starts get in a line with all of your hopeless, spawning buddies and light em up! You will get a crazy amount of medals and a crazy amount of kills that will lead to a crazy amount of credits. Also check out a guide by V1cious below on how to get some credits through campaign, it's pretty slick.

Now I am sure that there are a million different ways of farming credits that will surmount during the creation of this game. If you could get a modded controller to start and quit games you get an automatic bonus of 5 credits for even opening up a game! So anyway these are the few that I have tried and tested. Who knows if they will learn to control these ways and stop farming. Which then we will find new ways :) I will update this article weekly with new ways and updated versions of already posted ways of farming credits.
