Yep, how exciting! Halo Reach is now releasing a a real use for it's slot machine credit invention. A credit jackpot! Now, an added bonus to those who normally finish all of their games, you will have an at most random chance of earning a jackpot of credits! Now here is the official release from Bungie.
My guess at to why Bungie has implemented this is because they are seeing a continuing amount of players quitting before the game ends. Now as an incentive, no matter how badly you performed in your Halo Matchmaking game, you will have the chance to win the big ole' jackpot!

How many credits can I earn in the Halo Reach Credit Jackpot
So is it worth it to wait all the way through a game at a chance for the jackpot? Well naturally you should strive to finish each game you play regardless of how bad you are doing, but I believe you should!
Early reports coming out are of people earning anywhere from 4,000 cR to 10,000 cR off a single game. I even recently read somewhere of a guy who has won three consecutive jackpots in a row! So I would highly advise you wait around for the end of each game.
Now how often are you going to win the jackpot or what are your chances of winning? These numbers have not been released by Bungie yet and will hopefully be discovered soon. As soon as they will I will come back and post them in this article.
So want some tips to getting the jackpot? As of now all I can see is play as frequently as possible but also finish every game you start. You will notice that Bungie also says in their news release that the halo reach credit jackpot was put into the game to reward those who finish games 'regularly'. So maybe the system award jackpots to those who have high game completion ratings or maybe not? Just keep on playing and good luck!

I only got it once i played three games in a row and on the last one four spinner things came up and game me 3000! Im only warrant officer 3 so thats alot for me
I've got the 6000 cr about 30 times, 2 times 18 000, 3 times 21 000 and 3 times 15 000 is that enough for you?

What I want to really know is why do I want these credits? Can I get new maps with them?
Regarding your chances of getting the jackpot when you are low on credits or have a lot I have got a 30,000 jackpot when I had around 220,000 credits. I have also got 2 other 30,000 jackpots with lower amounts of credits. Also, if finishing games regularly increases your chances of winning the jackpot I think it is only by a little. I have played halo a whole week 24/7, finishing hundreds of games and not won anything above 3,000.
I rarely quit games, usually sticking around even if I am the only one left on my team. Regardless of this fact, I've never even gotten a single jackpot... Wtf Bungie?
I won a 33,000 and 39,000 jackot twice ina row today!!! I never quit games.

I have played over 250 games, I have quit 2 of them, both times because of lag. Since the jackpots were announced I have played about 20 games and have yet to see any evidence of them. Another s**t promise from bungie that only helps those pathetic enough to spend their whole day on halo.
